Cost-effective team training

I’ve worked in the TV industry for 26 years.

I’ve used lynda.com for personal professional development on and off as I could afford over the last six years. Lynda.com has been a great tool for keeping my skills current on Apple and Adobe software for editing, Motion Graphics, and Compositing. We have just started using the training here in this production unit; I have seen a great change in my producers’ work and attitudes just during the trial period. I’ve personally spent thousands on books and DVDs in the past. This training is the most cost effective I’ve found to date. The real thing is how fast and how far your team members can advance their skills if they have the desire to learn. Another plus is the Admin reports you can pull. I am looking forward to rolling these into our 2008 PMR system.

Better than Vegas

Two of us are going to have to go to Vegas for 3 days of solid (no, not fun) training in April. I would rather be able to do it from here at work or home.

Every time lynda.com is brought up in a conversation, people’s eyes light up. Everyone that has tried it has fallen in love with the various trainings and the provided files to work with.
